I am really excited to take on the responsibility of marketing, promotion and evangelism facilitator at The Gifting Earth. I've been working with Tim Wilken from the very early days on this idea and I have a real passion for its success.
If you can think of anything at all that I can be doing to help spread the word, please suggest ideas here. If you need me for any support -- flyers, Web banners, sample emails or posts, or anything else you can think of -- please ask! I may not always know how to help but I suspect there will be other Gifters here who will know how to jump in and join our important effort together.

How Can I Help You?
Advertise at Burner events, and on burner message boards...Or better yet, if you've got someone you know going to Burning Man, send some signs and something like keychains or necklaces with the site address on them. It's just an extension of the gift economy, not true advertising. I'd bet that a lot of burners would LOVE to carry on the burner spirit, even after the event itself is done!...For that matter, let me see what I can whip up, as far as keychain type thingies, since I've a friend who is going there.
Last week I began using a new system with my clients, that of either a pure "gift" with no obligation, "Session" that has a donation of whatever the monetary worth was to the client, and "Workshops/Events" that have a set monetary price. I had no idea about how to make this work, yet i was willing to try some different structures til I found one that energetically resonated with me. My first client also suggested a "wishlist" for the awakening and consciousness centre that I'm opening in Johannesburg, South Africa that included items that my clients may have laying around at home. I hadn't even gotten around to sending her an email with details when i came across this site. It's late my side now, so will finish researching and learning here tomorrow. this is an exciting idea and I will share it with the other practitioners, alternative healers and conscious sexuality practitioners at the centre. thankyou for this. One way The Gifting Earth could expand participation would be through serving as a networking hub for local and regional Gift Networks, whose function is--at least in part--to create and nurture local Gift Circles.
