Hello All,

I am a certified Pilates Instructor who would like to share the benefits of Pilates with you.

Mat Pilates is a form of exercise created by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Pilates focuses on moving from a strong center, which is within the deep framework of your body (Abdominals, Back Extensors and Pelvic Floor). Imagine your body as a tree, in which your torso is the trunk and your legs and arms are the limbs. With Pilates, the truck builds stability and strength with engaging the proper muscle groups, and in turn your limbs will move with control and precision. The amount of awareness within your mind and body that is cultivated through the exercises is truly life changing. This awareness can be carried with you throughout anything you do in life. If you practice this awareness with your movement, many benefits will follow.

The selected exercises done on a regular basis can help:

  • Increase Flexibility and Balance
  • Add Awareness and Core Strength
  • Improve Concentration and Mind Body Connection
  • Increase Circulation and Breath
  • Become Stronger and more Agile

The exercises can be done in the comfort of your own home (on a flat surface with a Mat), and be modified for the appropriate level. This brief introduction is just to give you a little more insight to what Pilates is all about. Perhaps you will be inspired to continue with the exercises and feel all of the benefits that Pilates has to offer (under the supervision of a certified instructor). I have been practicing Pilates for almost 8 years, and it has truly changed my life and my body.

This session can be done at your home with space provided, a community room, or perhaps outside at a park with a flat surface. I will ask for clearance from your physician if you have any health issues or conditions.

You can send me a message with more questions if you like. We can set up the details.

Thank you, and I look forward to inspiring you to MOVE with grace and precision.
